Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is based on grappling while using joint techniques together with strangulation in order to finish a fight.

The main idea is that physical advantages like weight, explosive force and extension can be easily denied on a floor fight like grappling.
This fight style was created on the beginning of the 20’th century by the Gracie family and became famous after Royce Gracie won on fights without limitation rules opponents from many other fighting sports.
